This is a newsletter to explain the Missions  o  organization (YWAM) that Jessica Newhouse    works with and the mission she believes God has      given her.        About Y.W.A.M ·      Youth with A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. ·      The purpose of YWAM is simply to know God and make Him known. ·      We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 180 countries, with over 18,00 staff. ·      There are about 15 YWAM bases in Australia ·      They have celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2010 Jess in the Past     I have been working/studying in YWAM for 9 years: in the U.S., Switzerland, and Australia. I have received a diploma in Christian Counseling through Australia. Through these experiences God has brought me into a better relationship with Him and others.

Where I Am Moving I have worked with YWAM Australia for a couple of years now, and have worked with YWAM Perth and YWAM Adelaide. God has been leading me to YWAM Tasmania to help re-pioneer of the YWAM Tasmania base located southeastern corner of Australia separated from the mainland by the Bass Strait.  As one of the seven Australian states it has a population of more than 507,000 of whom almost half reside in the greater Hobart precinct.  I will be living in a town called Sorell and am planning to make Australia my home. YWAM Tasmania & Jess’s Passion The new YWAM base has 200 acres of property with four houses which have been   unoccupied for the past ten years.  The Lord has led YWAM staff from around Australia to begin the re-pioneering effort.  The base is to be a place of refuge and security which fits Jessica’s passion for reaching the women and children trapped in the sex industry.  This is Jessica’s heart to help out in this effort. There is a ministry called ‘Rahab’ which goes into the local brothels, helping women who are working in the sex industry.  Jessica’s passion is to pioneer this ministry in Tasmania as well as nearby Asian countries, like Thailand, which has one of the largest red light distracts in the world.  Her heart to see women transformed by the power of God and come back into society.
